Explanation of Responses:

1. Represents restricted stock units (RSUs) that vest in three equal annual installments beginning on February 20, 2026, provided the reporting person remains continuously employed by the issuer through the applicable vesting date. Each RSU represents the contingent right to receive one share of the issuer's common stock.

2. Includes 9,243 RSUs that vest on December 31, 2025 and 11,678 RSUs that vest on December 31, 2026, provided the reporting person remains continuously employed by the issuer through the applicable vesting date. Such RSUs were converted from certain previously granted MDU Resources Group, Inc. (MDU Resources) RSUs in connection the separation and distribution transaction that became effective on October 31, 2024, pursuant to which the issuer was spun-off from its former parent company, MDU Resources, and MDU Resources' stockholders received 1 share of the issuer's common stock for every 4 shares of MDU Resources common held as of such time, subject to the payment of cash in lieu of fractional shares of the issuer's common stock.
