Insurers turn to Duck Creek platform and services to modernize core systems, improve agility, embed AI into operations, ISG Provider Lens^® report says

Insurance companies are rapidly adopting the Duck Creek core software platform and related services to replace legacy systems and build agile, digital-first operations, according to a new research report published today by Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a global AI-centered technology research and advisory firm.

The 2026 global ISG Provider Lens^® Duck Creek Services Ecosystem report finds that insurers are accelerating core system modernization through the Duck Creek ecosystem in response to rising customer expectations, regulatory demands and competitive pressures. The industry is rapidly shifting to software as a service (SaaS) to enable continuous innovation and measurable business outcomes.

For many enterprises, Duck Creek adoption aligns with broader digital strategies to remain competitive as markets evolve.

Enterprises are implementing Duck Creek's OnDemand SaaS offering to enable continuous upgrades and reduce operational disruption, ISG says. The model is designed to let an insurer maintain current capabilities while scaling operations efficiently. Modernization strategies also include strengthening migration and integration processes to ensure data integrity and seamless connectivity across complex ecosystems.

AI capabilities embedded within the Duck Creek platform are becoming central to enterprise implementations, the report says. Insurers are using AI in production for operational intelligence, applying it to use cases such as claims triage, underwriting support and document processing to improve speed and accuracy. On the software development side, AI-based tools are enhancing release quality and accelerating delivery cycles in Duck Creek implementations.
