FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Sunshine Health, a company of Centene Corporation (NYSE:CNC), has awarded $100,000 in childcare and transportation grants to five nonprofit organizations across Florida. The grants connect vulnerable Floridians in more than 40 counties with reliable transportation and affordable childcare, helping reduce barriers to employment.

The five nonprofit organizations selected are:

Wheels of Success	Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas counties	"New to them" provides vehicles or major car repairs and services for individuals who are working full-time or part-time while attending school.
Van Gogh's Palette (dba Vincent House)	Pasco, Pinellas, Hernando counties	Transportation to attend job interviews and participate in transitional and competitive employment.
Boys and Girls Club of North Central Florida	Taylor County	No‑cost childcare programs, including afterschool, summer and early childhood services.
Safe Families for Children Alliance	37 counties across Florida	Childcare registration and transportation assistance, including vehicle repairs and public transportation passes.
Healthy Start Coalition of St. Lucie	St. Lucie County	Transportation assistance for families enrolled in the Home Visitation program.

Access to reliable transportation plays a critical role in supporting workforce participation and removing barriers to accessing care, which helps individuals get jobs, training opportunities and the health care services they need to maintain long-term stability.
