Item 8.01. Other Events.

On August 9, 2024, State Street Corporation (“State Street”) announced that it will redeem all 5,000 of its outstanding shares of non-cumulative perpetual preferred stock, Series H (“Series H Preferred Stock”) (represented by depositary shares, each representing a 1/100th interest in a share of Series H Preferred Stock) on September 16, 2024 (the “Redemption Date”), for cash at a redemption price of $100,000 per share (equivalent to $1,000 per depositary share) together with an amount equal to any dividends that have been declared but not paid up to but not including the Redemption Date (the “Series H Redemption Price”). For the avoidance of doubt, the cash dividend announced on July 18, 2024 will not be included in the Series H Redemption Price.
