Explanation of Responses:

1. Stock Awards granted pursuant to the Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. 2018 Equity Compensation Plan vest 50% in three equal annual installments commencing on April 1, 2023 with the remaining 50% vesting on April 1, 2025.

2. Stock Awards granted pursuant to the Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. 2022 Equity Compensation Plan Stock Awards vest 50% in three equal annual installments commencing on January 30, 2024 with the remaining 50% vesting on January 30, 2026.

3. Stock Awards granted pursuant to the Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. 2022 Equity Compensation Plan vest 50% in three equal annual installments commencing on April 1, 2024 with the remaining 50% vesting on April 1, 2026.

4. Stock Awards granted pursuant to the Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. 2022 Equity Compensation Plan vest 50% in three equal annual installments commencing on April 1, 2025 with the remaining 50% vesting on April 1, 2027.

5. Since the reporting person's last report, 1,620 shares previously held through Stock Award II, 484 shares previously held through Stock Award IV and 403 shares previously held through Stock Award V have vested and are now owned directly.
