Explanation of Responses:

1. Pursuant to that certain Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated as of December 19, 2021, by and among Verso Corporation, BillerudKorsnas Inc., West Acquisition Merger Sub Inc. and, solely for purposes of certain sections thereof, BillerudKorsnas AB (the "Merger Agreement"), at the effective time of the transactions described in the Merger Agreement ("Transactions"), all equity securities held by the Reporting Person were disposed of for cash or converted into cash based awards, as applicable, in each case, pursuant to the terms set forth in the Merger Agreement.
