Explanation of Responses:

1. Each restricted stock unit represents the right to receive, at settlement, one share of common stock of Galecto, Inc. One-third of the restricted stock units subject to the award will vest on January 3, 2025 and the remaining restricted stock units will vest ratably every six months thereafter, assuming continued employment through the applicable vesting date.
