Explanation of Responses:

1. Shares awarded under the December 14, 2020, December 17, 2021, and December 14, 2022 performance awards, and top-up awards, for which the performance period ended July 19, 2023.

2. Forfeiture is to satisfy tax withholding obligations.

3. Disposed of pursuant to merger agreement between issuer, Extra Space Storage Inc. and certain other parties in exchange for 96,074 shares of Extra Space Storage Inc. common stock having a market value of $148.96 per share on the effective date of the merger.
