Explanation of Responses:

1. The stock options shall vest as to 50,000 shares on June 16, 2026, 50,000 on June 16, 2027 and 50,000 on June 16, 2028, in each case subject to continued service with Cyanotech on the vesting date.

2. Each restricted stock unit represents the contingent right to receive one (1) share of Cyanotech Common Stock.

3. The restricted stock units vest as to 21,368 shares on June 16, 2026; 21,368 on June 16, 2027 and 21,367 shares on June 16, 2028, in each case subject to the reporting person's continued service with the Company on the vesting date.
