Explanation of Responses:

1. Represents annual stock grant for non-employee directors. Shares of common stock were issued pursuant to the New York Mortgage Trust, Inc. 2017 Stock Incentive Plan.

2. On March 9, 2023, NYMT effected a one-for-four reverse stock split of its common stock. The amount of securities reported has been adjusted to reflect the reverse stock split.
