Explanation of Responses:

1. Shares held in Company stock fund of 401(k) plan as reported by trustee as of December 12, 2024.

2. Each share of phantom stock is the economic equivalent of one share of Spire Inc. common stock. Shares of phantom stock are payable in annual installments payable for 15 years commencing 6 months following the reporting person's separation of employment and can be transferred to other investments within the reporting person's deferred income plan account at any time at least six months after vesting.
