Item 8.01 Other Events.

Gen Digital Inc. (NASDAQ: GEN) announced today that on January 16, 2024, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued an order with respect to its January 2023 judgment in a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule contract claim initially filed in 2012. The Court denied the State of California’s Motion to Amend. In granting in part and denying in part the United States’ February 2023 Motion to Amend Judgment to revive the damages claimed at trial, the Court changed its previous damage and penalties award from $1.3M to $53M. We respectfully disagree with the Court’s amendment of its original judgment and are assessing appeal of the matter.
