JERSEY CITY, N.J., Oct. 19, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Moomoo, a leading global investment and trading platform, today announced the launch of extended trading hours for U.S. listed options on its platform. Working with Cboe, Moomoo is offering investors day-one access to the new premarket and post-close trading sessions on Cboe Options Exchange. The expansion covers options on 25 stocks and five ETFs, giving investors additional flexibility to respond to market developments and manage their portfolios outside traditional trading hours.

The expansion includes a premarket trading session from 7:30 to 9:25 a.m. ET and an additional after-hours session from 4:00 to 4:15 p.m. ET. The premarket session allows investors to respond to early-morning earnings announcements, economic reports and developments in overnight and international markets before the regular U.S. trading day begins. Investors can use options to adjust existing positions, hedge portfolio exposure or establish new positions based on those developments. The post-close session provides an additional window to respond to news released shortly after the closing bell.

"Global investors are increasingly seeking access to the U.S. markets and the ability to manage risk and act on opportunities when they see fit," said Rob Hocking, Global Head of Derivatives at Cboe Global Markets. "By extending trading hours for single-stock and ETF options, Cboe is giving investors more flexibility, and we’re excited that Moomoo clients now have access to these additional trading sessions."

Moomoo unifies these capabilities with educational resources to help retail investors develop more informed strategies and manage their portfolios. Moomoo’s Options Engine** gives users access to features that design, simulate and automate options trading strategies with virtual risk modeling, institutional activity tracking and no-code development tools. Through Moomoo’s Options Strategy Builder, users can run scenario analysis and payoff visualizations to translate market views into strategies and evaluate potential outcomes before trading. Extended options trading hours complement those tools, granting investors additional flexibility to put their research into practice as market conditions change.

"Markets don’t wait for the opening bell, and an investor’s ability to manage risk shouldn’t depend entirely on it," said Neil McDonald, CEO of Moomoo U.S. "Extending options trading hours gives our investors more control over when they respond, whether they’re hedging a position or acting on a new potential opportunity. Our job is to give them both the access to act and the tools to understand the trade they’re making."

Trusted by over 31 million users*** worldwide, Moomoo’s platform brings together professional-grade analytics, investor education tools and multi-asset investing. Supporting extended options trading hours advances Moomoo’s commitment, giving investors more choice in how and when they manage portfolios and pursue their investing goals.
