The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the pace of digital transformations in all industries, especially in the healthcare sector. Hospitals have consistently encountered the same significant logistics hurdles, though, as they attempt to build their virtual care/virtual hospital strategies. Take, for example, a hospital located in the mid-western part of the U.S. It typically adds 5,000 remote patients annually, and each of those patients has on average three health monitoring devices.
