Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensation Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On April 18, 2021, John R. Taylor, a member of the Board of Directors (“Board”) of Hope Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) and the Chair of the Audit Committee, passed away unexpectedly. The Board and the Company express their deepest condolences to the Taylor family at this difficult time.
