Item 8.01. Other Events

East West Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) is aware of the bankruptcy filing of ICON Aircraft, Inc. (“ICON Aircraft”) on April 4, 2024 that listed East West Bank as an unsecured creditor in the amount of $65 million. East West Bank will file appropriate notices with the court in due course to inform that East West Bank has no outstanding credit exposure to ICON Aircraft. As such, the bankruptcy filing of ICON Aircraft does not impact the Company’s previously disclosed outlook for 2024.
