Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On April 18, 2023, Harry You, a member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee Chair of Coupang, Inc. (the “Company”), notified the Company that he will retire from the Board of Directors (the “Board”) effective as of the date of the Company’s 2023 Annual Meeting of Stockholders (the “Annual Meeting”). As a result, Mr. You will not stand for re-election to the Board at the Annual Meeting. The Company thanks Mr. You for his excellent service on the Board and his many contributions to the Company, including during its initial public offering.
