ITEM 8.01 Other Events.

On December 19, 2022, Arch Capital Group Ltd. (“the Company”) increased its share repurchase authorization to $1.0 billion, which may be effected from time to time in open market or privately negotiated transactions through December 31, 2024. At September 30, 2022, approximately $596.4 million of share repurchases were available under the Company’s share repurchase program. From October 1 through December 14, 2022, the Company did not repurchase any common shares. This new program replaces the Company's existing share repurchase authorization.
