Explanatory Note

On August 7, 2025, KBR, Inc. filed a Current Report on Form 8-K (the “Original Form 8-K”) to report the appointment of Huibert H. Vigeveno to its Board of Directors (the “Board”) effective August 5, 2025. This Amendment No. 1 to the Current Report on Form 8-K/A amends Item 5.02 of the Original Form 8-K solely to reflect the committee appointments for Mr. Vigeveno, which had not been determined at the time of the filing of the Original Form 8-K. No other changes have been made to the Original Form 8-K.

ITEM 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

(d) Election of Director.

Effective August 20, 2025, the Board appointed Mr. Vigeveno to serve as a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and Sustainability, Technology & Cybersecurity Committee.
