STAAR Special Meeting of Stockholders Adjourned to January 6, 2026

STAAR Surgical Company (NASDAQ:STAA), the manufacturer of the Implantable Collamer® Lens (ICL) today announced that Alcon (SIX/NYSE:ALC) has exercised its right under the Alcon merger agreement to require STAAR to adjourn its Special Meeting of Stockholders in connection with the Alcon merger agreement (the "Special Meeting"). As a result, the Special Meeting, which was scheduled for December 19, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time, has been adjourned to January 6, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time. The record date for STAAR stockholders eligible to vote at the Special Meeting remains the close of business on October 24, 2025.
